Off Topic — Obama's Health Care Proposal Viewpoint
Posted September 16th, 2009 in GeneralThe Obama healthcare plan is wrong for America and Americans.
More taxation and government control of the private sector has never solved ANY issue. As the government, and more appropriately, President Obama himself, hopes to create idealogical, "universal" policy supported by outrageous monetary penalties for non-participation, you can begin to see the formation of pure socialism (some would even suggest Marxism) in which we are no longer Government FOR the PEOPLE, BY the PEOPLE. The "people" wouldn't do this to ourselves, because Americans believe in freedom of choice. Americans believe in the right to succeed in business, in the workplace, and at home without fear of the government imposing it's will on us. Many of the very freedoms we've enjoyed for hundreds of years that make us who we are as a nation are under attack by those who would rather tax us into a socialized oblivion that there's no recovery from than to abide by the Constitution.
John Mackey, CEO of Whole Foods, was recently asked by the Wall Street Journal for his opinions on healthcare issues facing Americans. His Op/Ed piece is brilliant and enlightening and most deserving of your time, since he actually has a plan for healthcare that doesn't blackmail us into supporting health care for everyone else from our wallets. You can read his unedited version on his CEO Blog here.
